

Lighting the Way for the New Year
Friday morning I went into my yahoo email account (an older, secondary account I now use as a newsletter/spam-catcher account), looking for some information. As I signed out and was redirected to the Yahoo! home page, I remembered why I tend to shy away from it. The page is filled with "true" news stories, and yet they always seem to me to emphasize the sensational, the horrific, all that is tabloidesque about the news - as opposed to sites like Upworthy.com that report news


A Positive Sign
Look for this sign at the Carrboro Farmers' Market this Wednesday evening from 3-6 pm. This is the sign we unfurled for the first time last Saturday at the Triangle VegFest. It was gifted to me by my friends, Apurva and Kamalini Darling, the owners of the former Govinda's Restaurant in Greensboro. It is so satisfying to me that even though their restaurant is no longer open (and what a shame because it was sooo good!), their sign can still be admired and used. Thanks to that


Govinda's Goes to the Fair
Yesterday was a wonderful adventure out at the 3rd Annual Triangle VegFest. The past week has been a bit of a blur getting everything ready for yesterday's event, as well as very successful business expo that I helped to organize that took place on Friday. Sigh. What a good feeling when the stress is behind you and everyone is happy with your event and your efforts. Being Blessedly Busy
(photo trianglevegfest.com) Triangle VegFest! Have you all heard about it? Vegan festivals are an idea whose time, I believe, has finally come, and it is starting to catch on in a big way. Two weeks from now, on October 14th & 15th Raleigh will celebrate its third annual VegFest. I saw the event come up last year when the organizers asked my band, Samadhi, to play there.
